In my work, I like to explore nature and it’s movements.  I like to detail its exaggeration, its depth and its beauty.  In this piece the butterfly is its muse metaphorically referring to life and its ever-changing landscape. From the Detritus of the forest the butterfly flies to its destiny making the changes it needs to, to soar and prosper.

FROM DETRITUS TO DESTINY
THE BUTTERFLY – by HEATH RENEE ADAMKIEWICZ

As love falls down from the sky
It lands on the wings of the butterfly
The Butterfly sings it songs and rhymes
And flies. through the air, no concept of time
It is the messenger of patience and change.
From flower to flower, its’s odd and its strange
The butterfly can change the world
And give way to new beginnings unfurled
It is the keeper of transformation
And flies on faith and imagination
The butterfly has no fear of change
It bravely escapes its homemade cage
To Change, it knows is necessary
For all the burdens, we need to carry
The butterfly soars and merrily sings
For, without change, it could never grow wings
